La Castanyada a Puigcerdà

Hola! Si eres mi amigo en Facebook, seguro que has visto mis fotos de mi viaje a Puigcerdà. El fin de semana pasada era Halloween (Cuando empecé de escribir esta publicación)! Aquí, este día no se celebra como EE.UU. Aunque había algunos niños con disfrazes, solo oí "Trick or Trick" una vez.

En la escuela, solo tuve que ir a las tres primeras horas. La cuarta hora, todos los estudiantes de primero de bachillerato fueron al gimnasio para prepararse para el Túnel de Terror. Durante dos horas estuvimos asustando a los alumnos de ESO y algunos de Bachillerato también.

Después del Tunel, fui a la Radio Castellar para una entrevista. Allí había el otro estudiante de intercambio y su madre también (que nos traducía ciertas cosas). Grabaron la entrevista y me sentí como un celebridad hablando con el micrófono. Con la información de la entrevista, estuve en L'Actual que es el periódico de Castellar del Vallès.

Viernes llegó y ya era hora de ir a Puigcerdà para el el fin de semana. Cuando estábamos yendo a Puigcerdà (una ciudad que está en los Pirineos) paramos en una ciudad que se llama Vic. Fuimos a la Catedral, en el centro de la ciudad, a través de las calles. Vic es hermosa y era sólo el comienzo de las vacaciones de fin de semana. Después de algunas horas en las calles de Vic, continuamos el viaje a Puigcerdà.

Cuando llegué, era como las películas. Que hermosa las montañas! Un día fuimos (caminando) a Francia a una ciudad se llama Osséja. Joe y yo fuimos para explorar la ciudad y encontramos un estanque de patos y cuando estábamos allí, vimos un triángulo grande y empezamos a caminar para averiguar lo que era. Cuando llegamos, descubrimos que era un cosa para escalada un roca. Empezamos a hablar con la familia que estaba allí y nos invitaron a probarlo! Claro que dijimos sí.

También fuimos por la ciudad de Puigcerdà y Age. Por las noches estábamos alrededor del fuego comiendo y pasándolo muy bien.

 Para resumir, el viaje fue perfecto y me gustó mucho! Gracias a mis Tíos para invitarme!

Hey everyone! If you're my Facebook friend, I'm sure that you've seen some of my pictures from my trip to Puigcerdà. Last weekend was Halloween (when I started writing this post)! Here, it isn't celebrated quite like the states. Although there were some kids with costumes on, I only heard "Trick or Treat" once.

At school, I only had to go to the first three classes. The fourth class all of the students from the 11th grade went to the gym to get ready for the Haunted House. We covered all the windows with cardboard the days leading up to Halloween and now it was time to actually do it. During the last two hours of school, we scared the younger kids from ESO and some from Bachillerato too. We all had a great time.

After the Haunted House, I went to "Radio Castellar" (which is the radio station in my town) for an interview. Joe and his host mom who's our teacher/counselor was also there to talk and help us translate anything if we needed the help. The recorded the interview and I felt like a celebrity talking into the microphone in a studio. With the information from the interview, I was in the local paper.

Friday came and it was already time to go to Puigcerdà (a town int he Pyrenees) for the weekend. When we were on our way, we stopped in a town called Vic. We went to the Cathedral in Vic and was so amazing! Lucky for us this was only the beginning of the mini-vacation. After a few hours touring the town, we then were on our way to Puigcerdà.

Upon arriving, it was just like the movies! The views were gorgeous! One of the days we went (on foot) to France! We went to a little city right across the border called Osséja. Joe and I went exploring through the city and found a duck pond. While there, we saw a strange large triangular object in the distance and decided to find out what it was. When we got there, it was a rockclimbing wall. We started talking with the family that was there and when they asked us if we wanted to try it out, of course we said yes!

Also, we went around the cities of Puigcerdà and Age. During the nights we would all sit around the fire eating chestnuts and dinner and we all had a great time.

All in all, the trip was perfect and I loved it. Thanks so much to my host Aunt and Uncle for inviting me!
